R&D Engineer LED (m/f)

R&D Engineer LED (m/f) – Steinhoering, Germany

The R&D team is the centre of competence in all areas related to product development, innovation, design, engineering and verification. As a key member of the R&D team the R&D Engineer will drive forward product innovation and development while interacting with and supporting special application managers and product launch teams.

The R&D Engineer will be reporting to the Head of R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Development and coordination of innovative LED solutions including PCB design and specification, optics design and specification, as well as electrical and control design
  • Work directly with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the innovation process is driven by appropriate technologies meeting compliance and quality requirements
  • Research new LED components and develop safe means of assembly and testing
  • Participate in product launch and work group meetings, helping to drive forward product and service innovation process

Profile        

  • Able to work in an international problem solving environment driven towards product innovation and process improvement
  • Hands on testing, measurement and assembly skills
  • Experience in LED lighting business and relevant engineering experience in LED luminaire development gained through project work or internships. Experience with standards and environmental regulations, system engineering and system integration would be favourable.
  • Good command of English or German, understanding of both languages will be considered as a benefit
  • Open minded and teamwork driven, able to interpret market information and steer the efforts of the team towards solution development
  • Degree in (electrical) Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • Open for business related travel such as customer and conference visits

About the Role

As a key member of the sales team, the Export Manager will actively contribute to the commercial prosperity of the company. As a talented networker, you are able to maintain existing valued relationships and establish new sales channels in the Asian market. You will be making joint visits to end customers and support partners on exhibitions, while working closely together with the in-house customer service and application specialists.

The Export Manager will be reporting to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing and establish new sales channels in Asian markets
  • Coordinate and support overseas partners with exhibitions and trade shows
  • Ready to travel within Europe and overseas (e.g. China, Japan, Korea, Singapore)
  • Identify sales opportunities and record data regarding customers and market trends
  • Maintain short communication lines with team colleagues, customer service, quality & product management and handle customer complaints, issues and queries
  • Complete and maintain accurate sales forecasts and ready to achieve individual sales targets as set with your manager within an overall set margin

Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch and/or German. Chinese, Japanese and/or Korean is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as Junior Export Manager, Export Manager, Sales Manager or recent graduate of international business with technical and commercial affinity. Experience in the sector of Horticulture and Aquaristics is a plus.
  • Results oriented with time management skills and a drive for a pro-active work both individually and within a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and in the possession of a valid driving license

The Sales Manager Aquaristics and Horticulture will be reporting to the Director of Sales.

  • Build & maintain long term valued relationships with existing customer portfolio and actively acquire new customers
  • Schedule and make visits to Trade Shows and prospects
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements
  • Ready to travel extensively within Europe, eventually overseas
  • Maintain short communication lines with team colleagues, customer service, quality & product management and handle customer complaints, issues and queries
  • Complete and maintain accurate sales forecasts and ready to achieve individual sales targets as an integral part of the overall budget.

Profile

  • Proven work experience as Junior Account Manager, Account Manager, Sales Manager or recent graduate in international business with technical and commercial affinity. Experience in the sector of Horticulture and Aquaristics is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch and/or German. Other languages are welcome.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated, highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage his own time in an effective way

Elektrotechniker oder -/ingenieur (w/m)

Nach ausreichender Einarbeitungszeit besteht die Möglichkeit, die Stellvertretung des Abteilungsleiters zu übernehmen.

Mit Ihrer Hilfe möchten wir das Wachstum im Sektor Anlagenbau, besonders für Anwendungen im UV- und IR Lampenbereich forcieren und den eigenen Produktionsmittelbau verstärken.

Ihr Aufgabenschwerpunkt liegt in der Projektierung, Stromlaufplanerstellung und Dokumentation von meist SPS gesteuerten Anlagen unserer Kunden. Sie sind verantwortlich für die Dokumentation (Stromlaufplan, Betriebsanleitung, Betriebsmittelliste usw. ) als Basis für den Bau der Anlagen mit dem Ziel der gesetzeskonformen Unterlagenerstellung zur CE Kennzeichnung.

Ihr weit gefächertes Aufgabengebiet beinhaltet auch die Umsetzung von Steuerungen der MSR Technik (Aufbau, Verdrahtung, Programmierung..), sowohl für externe Aufträge, als auch für interne Automatisierungsaufgaben unserer Produktion.

Sie bilden im Projektteam die „elektrische“ Schnittstelle zwischen den Kundenwünschen und der normgerechten Umsetzung im Anlagen - Steuerungsbau.

Ihr Profil

  • Sie haben eine Ausbildung als Elektrotechniker/-in – Ingenieur/- in abgeschlossen und bereits einige Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich der Konzeption im Anlagenbau / Schaltschrankbau
  • Sie kennen die SPS Systeme von Siemens und können Ihr vorhandenes Wissen aus der SPS-Welt zur Lösungsfindung einbringen
  • Sie können Erfahrungen in der Stromlaufplan-Erstellung und in der normgerechten Dokumentationserstellung mit dem Ziel der CE Kennzeichnung vorweisen
  • Ihre Englischkenntnisse, Teamfähigkeit und selbständige, freundliche Arbeitsweise sind die Basis für die Aufgabenlösung bei unseren Kunden
