Plants are living organisms and need light. For plants indoors, incidental daylight is often not sufficient for healthy growth.
Conventional lighting solutions from general lighting usually only take into account the aspect of a harmonious light colour. However, this is not enough to keep plants healthy for a long time, as there is a lack of a spectrum specific to plants.

With AMALION®, we have successfully achieved the integration of real plant growth light into architectural lighting. By merging the wavelengths for photosynthesis – essential for the healthy survival of plants – with a neutral white light with particularly high color rendering of CRI 95, the architect gets the best of both worlds.
In addition to healthy growth and a permanently natural appearance of the plants, the spectrum also prevents excessive and unnatural growth, so that the installations retain their original shape.
AMALION® wallwashers homogeneously illuminate vertical surfaces and green walls, and the system is scalable depending on the size of the walls – a further advantage over conventional spotlights that only illuminate plant walls selectively. All this reduces the maintenance effort and the premature replacement of stunted plants and thus saves costs.
